The Board for the Study of Population of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) will organise a panel discussion entitled Effective Responses to the Demographic Crisis on Wednesday, October 15, at 11 a.m., at the Grand Hall of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The conference aims to present the newly formed Board for the Study of Population of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and to showcase the results of recent research on population phenomena relevant to the development of public policies. Particular attention will be devoted to the exchange of ideas and critical examination of possible solutions to the challenges of the ongoing demographic crisis. Demographers and researchers from related scientific fields will take part in the discussion.
The panel discussion will address four interconnected themes: effective models of parenthood support, premature mortality neglect, migration management, and comprehensive responses to population ageing. Each theme will be introduced through a 15-minute presentation, followed by a one-hour open discussion. Further information is available in the conference program.
